The firm of Lucien T. Vivien, Jr. and Associates. Inc. is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm, specializing in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Under the mechanical engineering discipline, we offer HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler system, and site utility designs. Our electrical discipline offers lighting, general building power, emergency generator site service, fire alarm system, fiber optic service, data/telecommunication distribution, and various other special systems designs.
Services are offered to Industry, Private Clients, Governmental Agencies, Architects and Engineers. Our services include preparation of design drawings and specifications, construction administration, existing condition surveys, engineering studies, construction estimates, and energy conservation submittals. This firm can also provide HVAC calculations, energy audits, operating cost analysis, construction cost estimation, lighting calculations electrical short circuit, voltage drop and load calculations through the use of our engineering software data base.
Our design experience includes office buildings, hospitals, schools, multi-purpose facilities, mechanical plants, military installations, hotels, casinos, libraries, laboratories, kitchens, gymnasiums, rescue facilities, and site utilities.
The complete mechanical and electrical systems as well as Owner/User needs of each project are reviewed at the beginning of the design phase by our firm in order to properly allocate building space for each discipline. Throughout the design of projects, the engineers are aware of the desires, needs, and budget of the Owner/User. The engineers use this information to maintain an affordable construction cost.
The firm has dedicated drafting stations to produce all drawings in Auto-CAD and also dedicated engineering stations to provide mechanical and electrical calculations. Technologically advanced computer software allows for precise system sizing and design and as well as total system energy audits. The company currently has two in-house plotters.
The equipment described above provides this firm with sufficient capabilities to allow for accurate design and coordination of projects during the design phase.
